About

Leah Welch is a Louisiana-based artist with a degree in art and over ten years of experience as an art teacher. Her work is rooted in a deep love for Louisiana culture and the natural world, with recurring themes of local landscapes, wildlife, and the vibrant beauty of everyday life in the South.

Leah works across many mediums, though her current focus is oil paint and oil pastels — two mediums that allow her to capture rich texture, vibrant color, and the luminous quality of light she is known for.

Her artwork has been exhibited at the Bossier Arts Council, R.W. Norton Art Museum, and the Artport exhibit, bringing her gallery-worthy originals to audiences across the region.

Each piece is one-of-a-kind, signed by the artist, and created with the intention of bringing a sense of place and wonder into your home.
